Games for Masikhule

During Global Citizenship last term we learned about life in other parts of the world and as part of this we learned about life in a South African township. Miss Rendall spent a month working a township in Cape Town over the summer and worked with P1 and 2 children in a centre called Masikhule - meaning 'learning together one step at a time' in Afrikaans. We decided to make some games to send over to the boys and girls there as they don't have the same resources as we do. We worked in groups to plan and then make our games. We are almost done and plan to finish them this week so we can get them sent.

Colour Chase
Learning all about colours

We had to write instructions for our games ensuring they were clear and easy to understand.

Lots of drawing going on!

Number Pairs
Learning numbers to 10.

Another number game with some simple addition.
