Day 2 - Raft building

We all slept well and were up bright and early. After some breakfast we made our sandwiches and gathered our equipment for our day out. We started off with some raft building down at 'Brims' where we worked together to design our raft. Everyone worked well in their group and built their raft. There were only a few wobbly barrels! The weather was quite over cast this morning, the fog did lift in places though. 

Mrs Drever's Group - Bush craft

After a spot of lunch outside we split into 2 groups. Mrs Omand's group headed to Rackwick for some canoeing while our group headed up to the woods for some bush craft. We made some fires and toasted some marshmallows. We enjoyed some hot chocolate too! We were then set a challenge to made a den in the woods. 

Hoy - Day 1 morning activities

We arrived safely this morning and had a tour of the hostel. The weather has been very kind to us today! We are all feeling rather full after our tea of sausages, beans and tatties or macaroni cheese. For pudding we had a chocolate muffin and ice cream.
