Basketball skills

Over the past few weeks with Mrs Drever and Miss Scott, we have been developing our basketball skills. We have been focussing on the skills of dribbling, passing and shooting. We played some team games today and showed fantastic team work!

Venn Diagrams

We have been learning about different ways to handle and sort data. Today we were learning about Venn diagrams. We all shared our knowledge and understanding of Morrison and Anderson shelters from WWII. We all used a Venn diagram to explain the differences and similarities.

Working with p1/2

Today we worked with p1/2. Some of us used the laptops and showed the p1/2 class how to log in and use study ladder. The primary 6 class went to the library to choose books with p1/2 where we drew the characters from the books and described them. We were all responsible and worked well in our small groups.

P1-7 Story Writing

We celebrated Roald Dahl Day in school last week. We worked collaboratively across the classes to create big books, where we passed on each story to the next class each day to continue. We carefully thought about characters, setting, climaxes and endings. We all added front covers and blurbs to our stories too. We shared the stories in assembly today where we all enjoyed hearing how the stories all continued.

Working with P1/2

Today we went to P1/2 where we worked in small groups. Some of us were helping the p1/2's with using the laptops while some of us read to the children.

We went on the p1/2 class blog and looked at some of the photographs of different learning experiences.
The p1/2 children chose pictures to reflect on.

We showed the children how to copy a picture into a word document.
We read some stories to the p1/2 children too.

 They were all excellent listeners!
