Games Session
We had to get a hoop around the circle as quick as possible...
... it was quite tricky!
We worked really well in a team.
We took turns in dropping a piece of paper and we had to catch it before it reached the floor.
Well caught!!
We played a game called 'bat and moth' - it was great fun trying to find the moth!
We only used our voices to locate the moth as the bat was blindfolded.
Final race - go, go, go!

Victorian Clothes
Time for bed!
We all enjoyed trying on the different outfits.
Do you like my hat?
Nice dress!
Very posh...
We went a walk around the school to show everyone our outfits.
Tag Rugby Festival
We attended the tag rugby festival at the Pickaquoy Centre. It was great fun and the weather stayed dry too!
We all worked really well together in our teams - good team work!
There were lot's of teams from different schools.
Go, go, go!
.... and we're off!
Let's get ready!
Time for a lunch break.
The mighty blue team!
Medieval Construction Workshop - Earl's Palace, Kirkwall
We enjoyed our afternoon at the Medieval construction workshop in Kirkwall which was part of the Science Festival.
We learned how Earl's Palace was built.
We learned how people transported materials. Pull!
Look how they moved stones!
Taking the strain!
We learned how they lifted things too.
Our challenge was to build an arch - it was tricky!
It was all about trial and error to begin with.
Nearly there!
We even tried walking over it once....
twice!
We learned about stone masonry.
We even seen a stone mason carving sand stone.
We tried on the safety mask too...
...it was really big!
